Anyway, we went to see Inkheart yesterday. Teegan and I had seen it when it came out (during the school year each kiddos was getting one Saturday a month to do something special with a parent). We both LOVED it. I was up for seeing it again. Well, you really really must get to the free movies super early. We got there and it was mostly full, and most seats that were open were being saved. Kinda rude. Anyway, I found 2 seats- and so we had Raiden in one and the girls sharing one. We found out they were running Horton Hears a Who at the same time.

So, trying to trust the kids to watch the movie alone, Teegan and I went to Horton. Thankfully, the other kids stayed put and simply enjoyed the movie.

Horton is pretty good. Cute in alot of it. But good gravy, weird in alot of it. I mean, really. Why did it suddenly need to go into Anime? (or that style of cartooning) They had Horton and Morton flying through the air with lots of ‘pow!’ and ‘take that!’ and it was WEIRD. But, in the end it was sweet and again, more with the good gravy, I cried.  I loved when the Who son showed his dad what he had created and how Horton really did save the day.

Back to Inkheart. It was a longer movie, so Teego and I went and sat in there on the steps to wait for the other kiddos. Even though I had seen it before, I STILL cried when the daughter saved the day and read the evil guy and all the characters (well, except 2 of them) back into the stories from whence they came. LOVED it. It is definitely on my list to add to the dvd collection.

Raiden of course over analyzed it- comparing it to the book series. I try to not do that so much and just enjoy it for a movie, not for a book made into a movie. Not an easy task…
