So I realize it may seem a bit crazy and all over the place here, with the changing looks to the blog and the different sizes and formats of the photos. Personally, I LOVE the large images. I realize it takes longer to scroll down the page through them, but I love how they look. Love it. But am a bit worried that some people may have slower connections and have a hard time with the page loading. Feel free to leave comments and feedback, but be gentle

I hope everyone enjoys the updates. I am better at posting photos than write ups, maybe someday I will have more time to write more, as I do truly enjoy writing. Until then, enjoy what is here!

Mount Rainier!

Dan and I recently took a little trip to Mount Rainier. What an incredibly beautiful place! I am so incredibly thankful to live in a part of the world that has so much amazing beauty. So, all of you friends and family that are hesitating coming to visit for any reason- take a look at these and head on over!

Going Ape!

OK, not really. But Dan and I went with his brother and his girls down to Mt St Helens to the Ape Caves there. Pretty nifty, but oh so dark and cold… Brrrrrrrrr… It is pitch black in the caves, so we had to have head lamps and flashlights to see, and even then you could only see a foot in front of you. And the cold? They claim it was 42 degrees in there, but my hands felt like they had been soaking in a bucket of ice by the time we left! It was still fun, though. The photo where we are shining the light is just a small part of the wall, looks funky with the camera flash. The big chunky circle thing in the ceiling of the cave was called The Meatball.

I took the kids to the kangaroo farm, it was a rather roasty toasty day! Lots of fun, and we all had the chance to hold the baby roo! There were many other fun animals there as well.

It sure was a fun and busy summer! I was able to go to Wild Waves with Dan and the girls on Labor Day. Lots of fun, but the lines were sure long!

A new look, & it’s been awhile…

So, what do you think of the new style of blog? I am sure some will notice the changes and others may not. And that is a-ok! I am not done tweaking it, but the comments should now appear normally and go much smoother… Not so sure on that background, either, but it is nice a soft and something more than a solid color for now.

The school year has gotten off to a pretty good start for all of the kiddos. I think the biggest news is that Teegan now has glasses AND is playing the trombone! Stay tuned for photos. Here are some recent favorite photos…

So the weekend of Willow’s birthday, on her birthday, we drove out to Cle Elum for some sun and camping of sorts. We stayed in a bunkhouse, which was ok, better than on the ground. We hit the water slide, roasted dogs and mallows, and even got in a visit from my cousin Brett who lives in Yakima!

The photos of us on the bridge and swimming… Well, Dan used to jump off that bridge as a teen, so we gave it a whirl. Dang, that water was COLD!

So I was blessed to be able to go to Hawaii this summer for the first time. While my kiddos were at camp (well, one stayed home to volunteer at the pool), I joined Dan and his girls for a trip to Hawaii. It was so beautiful. People ask me what I liked best and what all I did and saw. Honestly, I was just soaking it in and enjoying it as it happened, without a real focus on any one thing. Although I truly loved the views, seeing the LDS temple, and the performance at the Polynesian Cultural Center… Here are some of my favorite photos!
