Wow, this was a really special evening for all of us. Anya surprised my mom by wearing a very special white dress of hers that is about 55 years young. We had the dress cleaned and it looked awesome. The snapshots of the evening do not do it justice at all!

A couple of side note funnies…

When the cousins were practicing the songs they were going to sing together the boys were hilarious! You may not be able to tell from the photos, but there were some serious antics and dramatics going on, especially as they tried to go falseto on us.

We had given the song numbers over for the program to be created. Well, I did not remember the titles, just the numbers. It came up that we appeared to have chosen Battle Hymn of the Republic (number 60). Well, Brother Dabling (conducting) thought maybe it was supposed to be Hymn number 68 (which admittedly right now I am blanking on what that title is!) but- it was not the song we had chosen, I had never heard it (that I can recall) and so I look over to see my sil, Candace, looking like she was practicing the piano parts during other songs, because she was playing for us and it was unfamiliar!  Well, I made the call to change it to number 60 after all.  While it was little comical there- I felt SO good about that being the closing song. It was awesome.

Willow sang I Am a Child of God solo, and then the cousins sang a few songs together.

Explanation… Peter’s family could not come, so here is a photo of them patting his invisible children on the head.
